The Keeping House is a textile and wallcovering brand offering an original collection of fabrics and wallpapers available for purchase direct-to-consumer and through our trade program. Our products are sold exclusively through shopthekeepinghouse.com and at select in-person events.

Our site is hosted and powered by Shopify, Inc. By using our website, you may also be subject to Shopify's applicable terms and privacy policies.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, browsing our collections, or completing a purchase, you confirm that:

The Keeping House offers an original collection of fabrics and wallcoverings, including but not limited to printed fabrics, wallpaper, and home goods. All products are subject to availability.

We make every effort to accurately represent our products, including colors, patterns, and repeat measurements. However, please be aware of the following:

• Colors may appear differently depending on your monitor settings, screen calibration, and the lighting in your space. We strongly recommend ordering a sample before committing to a full yardage or wallpaper order.
• Fabric and wallpaper are sold by the yard or roll, as specified on individual product pages. Minimum order quantities may apply.
• Pattern repeat dimensions are listed on each product page. The Keeping House is not responsible for miscalculations in quantity due to pattern repeats if the customer does not account for them at the time of purchase.

The Keeping House reserves the right to discontinue, modify, or update products at any time without prior notice.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars. Prices are subject to change without notice.

We accept all major credit cards and payment methods supported by Shopify's checkout. Payment is collected in full at the time your order is placed.

Sales tax will be applied where required by law, based on the delivery address provided at checkout.

Promotional pricing, discount codes, and sale events are valid only for the dates and terms specified. Discount codes cannot be combined unless explicitly stated.

5. Orders & Order Processing

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation email to the address provided at checkout. This confirmation does not constitute acceptance of your order; it is an acknowledgment that we have received it.

The Keeping House reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order at our discretion, including but not limited to cases of suspected fraud, pricing errors, or product unavailability. In the event of a cancellation, any amount charged will be fully refunded.

Order processing times vary by product type. Custom or made-to-order items may require additional lead time, which will be noted on the product page or communicated to you at the time of purchase.

6. Shipping & Delivery

The Keeping House ships to addresses within the United States. International shipping availability may vary; please contact us for inquiries.

Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on order weight, dimensions, and delivery destination. Estimated delivery windows are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed.

Risk of loss and title for items purchased pass to you upon delivery to the carrier. The Keeping House is not responsible for delays, damages, or losses caused by the shipping carrier once an order has been picked up.

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery with photos of the damage so we can assist you appropriately.

7. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the custom and made-to-order nature of many of our products, all sales are considered final unless otherwise noted.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on:

• Cut fabric yardage
• Wallcoverings
• Sample swatches
• Items marked as final sale

If you believe you have received a defective or incorrect item, please contact us at contact@shopthekeepinghouse.com within 5 business days of receiving your order. We will review your inquiry and, if a defect is confirmed, offer a replacement or store credit at our discretion.

The Keeping House is not responsible for errors made during the ordering process, including incorrect quantity, colorway, or fabric selection by the customer.

8. Trade Program

The Keeping House offers a trade program for qualified interior designers, architects, decorators, and other design professionals. Trade account holders receive a 20% discount on all purchases, year-round.

To apply for a trade account, applicants must submit a completed application and qualifying documentation (e.g., business license, resale certificate, or professional portfolio). Approval is at the sole discretion of The Keeping House.

Trade pricing may not be combined with promotional discount codes unless explicitly stated. Trade accounts are for professional use only and may not be used for personal purchases or shared with third parties.

The Keeping House reserves the right to revoke trade account status at any time if terms of use are violated.

9. Samples

Sample swatches are available for purchase through our website and are non-refundable. Samples are intended to give you an accurate representation of color, texture, and hand feel before committing to a larger order.

We strongly encourage all customers — residential and trade alike — to order samples prior to placing a full fabric or wallpaper order. The Keeping House is not responsible for dissatisfaction arising from a purchase made without a sample.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on shopthekeepinghouse.com — including but not limited to original textile designs, patterns, photography, copy, graphics, and branding — is the exclusive property of The Keeping House and its parent company, and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or commercially exploit any content from this site without prior written permission from The Keeping House.

The Keeping House's patterns and designs are original works. Any unauthorized reproduction or duplication — whether for personal or commercial use — is strictly prohibited and may be subject to legal action.

11. Email Marketing & Communications

By subscribing to The Keeping House email list, you agree to receive marketing communications including new product announcements, promotions, and brand updates. Our email marketing platform is Klaviyo.

You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the 'unsubscribe' link in any email or by contacting us directly. Unsubscribing from The Keeping House emails does not affect any separate email subscriptions you may have with Society Social.
